Program Details & FAQs
The program officially launches on April 14th, 2026 with the entire REBEL EM community starting together as a cohort. Your journey begins with a 2-week orientation period where you’ll receive and set up your wearable sensor, capture your baseline biometric data, complete an initial assessment to identify your biggest challenges, and select your dedicated coach.
The full program runs for 8 weeks total, broken into two distinct phases:
Weeks 1-2: Orientation & Foundation Building During this phase, you’ll receive your wearable sensor, sync it with the Arena Strive app, establish your baseline biometric data, and complete your Clinician Blueprint, a comprehensive profile that helps your coach understand your unique challenges, schedule demands, and performance goals. You’ll also select your coach and have your first introductory call.
Weeks 3-8: Active Coaching (6 weeks) This is where the transformation happens. You’ll engage with your coach through asynchronous messaging (respond when you have 30 seconds or lean in deeper when you want), implement science-backed tools designed for 5-minute windows during your actual shifts, receive personalized guidance based on your real-time biometric data, and have two 15-minute phone calls for deeper support and strategy sessions.
The coaching relationship concludes, but your access doesn’t. Here’s what you keep:
- 1 full year access to all 30+ performance tools and 200+ instructional videos and wearable PPG sensor
- All your personal data and insights from the 8-week program
- The habits and protocols you’ve built with your coach
Think of the 8 weeks as intensive training with a performance coach, after that, you have everything you need to continue optimizing your performance independently. Many clinicians continue using the tools daily even after coaching ends, and you’ll have the app and sensor to support that ongoing practice. Additionally, REBEL EM & Arena Labs will share aggregate annonymized insights from the cohort through future content, so you’ll continue learning from the broader community’s experience.
The Arena Strive curriculum includes 30+ science-backed tools organized into 9 common challenges frontline clinicians face, with over 200 quick instructional videos. Every tool is designed for 5-minute windows, before shifts, during lunch, or between patients.
Three main categories:
1. Regulate Stress – Manage pressure, prepare & activate, calm your mind
2. Promote Regeneration – Improve sleep, balance night shifts, reset after long weeks
3. Stabilize Energy – Care for your body, reconnect with joy, see yourself as a high performer
You’ll work with your coach to select at least 3 challenges most relevant to your life, giving you 9 immediately actionable tools. You’ll have access to the entire library to explore what resonates. These are proven techniques from elite sports, military special operations, and top creative performers, adapted specifically for healthcare.
You’ll receive a PPG (photoplethysmography) wearable sensor that tracks heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep quality, recovery metrics, and stress indicators. It’s comfortable to wear continuously, similar in style to a fitness tracker.
Why this matters for coaching: Your coach uses this real-time data to see how your body actually responds to stress, sleep deprivation, shift work, and the tools you’re implementing. Instead of guessing, they can provide specific guidance like “Your HRV dropped after your last night shifts, let’s adjust your recovery protocol.”
The sensor is yours to keep, and you’ll have access to your data through the app for one full year after the program ends.
Yes! During the orientation period (Weeks 1-2), you’ll be presented with coach profiles that match your needs, and you’ll select the coach who feels like the best fit for you. This isn’t a random assignment, we believe the coaching relationship works best when there’s genuine trust and alignment.
What you’ll see in coach profiles:
- Their unique background (former FBI operator, elite athlete, PhD researcher, clinical psychologist, etc.)
- Areas they specialize in (shift work, leadership stress, work-life balance, physical performance)
- Their coaching philosophy and approach
- Personal insights about their own experience with high-stress environments
What they all have in common: Every coach holds a High Performance Medicine Coaching Certification, ensuring they can meet you at your realities, understanding biometric data, healthcare’s unique demands, and how to deliver guidance that fits your actual schedule, not an idealized one.
On March 3rd, 2026, everyone receives a text invitation to download the Arena Strive app and activate their license, orientation begins immediately. In the weeks to follow, you’ll complete your initial assessment (15-20 minutes), order your wearable sensor, review coach profiles and select your coach, sync your wearable when it arrives, and have your first 15-minute introductory call with your coach.
The program is designed for your chaotic schedule. Most daily practices take 5-10 minutes. Coaching is asynchronous. Videos are bite-sized. The wearable tracks passively. This isn’t another thing on your to-do list, it’s the framework that makes everything else sustainable.
Those are valuable tools. This program shows you when to deploy which tool based on your physiological data. It’s the difference between having a toolbox and knowing exactly which tool to use when your sympathetic nervous system is spiking at 3 AM during a trauma activation.
This program was adapted specifically for emergency medicine in partnership with REBEL EM. The scenarios, language, and protocols are built around shift work, high-acuity decision-making, and the unique stressors of the ED, not generic healthcare.
