Dr. Andrew Huberman

Andrew is a tenured neuroscientist at Stanford University with expertise in sleep, stress, and performance protocols for high-risk professionals. With a PhD in Neurobiology from Stanford, he advises Arena Labs on applying cutting-edge neuroscience to elevate clinician performance.

Dr. Kristen Holmes


Kristen is the Principal Scientist and Head of Global Human Performance at WHOOP, leveraging her expertise in circadian biology and psycho-physiology to improve human performance. A former NCAA National Champion Field Hockey Coach at Princeton, she brings a wealth of experience in coaching elite performers to Arena Labs.

Dr. Graeme Rosenberg

Graeme is a thoracic surgeon at USC and has a passion for integrating performance science into medicine. With a background in neuroscience and surgical training, he researches cognitive and physiological factors affecting surgical performance and advises Arena Labs on advancing clinician well-being.

This manifesto reflects our belief in the power of service and the responsibility we all share to support those who protect, heal, and advance society. Our mission is to set a higher standard in healthcare by empowering frontline professionals with the tools and knowledge to thrive in their sacred calling. 

For any society to flourish, a small percentage of the population has to be willing to raise their hand to serve.

At Arena Labs we refer to these guardians as “The Service Archetype”. This willingness to protect, to teach, and to steward human health is a sacred mission. A calling.

While serving something bigger is a profound aspect of the human experience, it is an all-consuming commitment. There are no shortcuts. No “hacks”. These servants and guardians are committed to doing the work, day-in and day-out.

In healthcare in particular, there is no offseason. The sacred responsibility of advancing the human condition is a 24/7 lifestyle.

The personnel who serve our families and societies in emergency rooms, ICUs, operating rooms and all corners of the hospital spend days, nights and weekends training and working to deliver “a standard of care” for their patients.

Without the right tools, this pursuit comes at a cost because The Service Archetype in healthcare will give and give..until there’s nothing left to give.

But modern science and technology have provided a map to manage the pressure and stress that comes with a life dedicated to serving others. These tools have been proven out and integrated into other high-stress, high-stakes fields: elite military units, world-class athletics, and the performing arts. And as a result, pioneering data sets about individual health and well-being are building better teams and cultures.
